We are quite busy on our regular open times on a Saturday morning – mostly with family history enquiries. It is good to meet decendants of early residents of the town and district and be able to help them to find out more about their family. We also often gain more knowledge of local families if they bring with them records or photographs relevant to the early history of Murchison.
We have some groups planning to visit in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to showing visitors our Heritage Centre and around the town.
The Executive met this week and are looking to the future and considering remodelling the building to improve our facilities and provide more space for meetings and better arrangements for catering.
Our office area will undergo some rearranging of desk space and new bookshelves will provide suitable storage for our library.
Refreshing of displays is ongoing and Gregory’s Hotel is a new feature.
